Helpusadopt.org Deadline is December 11th

One of the things that comes up often in our group meetings is the difficulty in financing an adoption. Adoption can be an expensive process. Helpusadopt.org is an organization that provides grants for those who are adopting. They can provide grants up to $15,000. Families must include a valid home study and a copy of their most recent tax return with their completed application and personal statement. If a grant is awarded, funds are released to adoption professionals (adoption lawyers and adoption agencies) when an invoice is due.

They award grants three times a year. For this cycle, the deadline is December 11, 2015. For the next cycle, the deadline is April 15, 2016.

December Date Change

Unfortunately our usual date has been booked for the usual first Wednesday of the month meeting.  I have rescheduled our December meeting date to December 1st.  On December 1st, we will meet in the Community Room instead of the Board Room.  This room is located downstairs near the Children’s section.
